Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) FAQ's
What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is considered to be an approach to psychotherapy and organizational change, without necessarily being as long-term or invasive as psychotherapy can be. It can also be seen as "a system of alternative therapy based on this which seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behaviour. In contrast to mainstream psychotherapy, NLP does not concentrate on diagnosis, treatment and assessment of mental and behavioral disorders. Instead, it focuses on helping clients to overcome their own self-perceived, or subjective, problems. It seeks to do this while respecting their own capabilities and wisdom to choose additional goals for the intervention as they learn more about their problems, and to modify and specify those goals further as a result of extended interaction with a therapist."

NLP has been proven to be extremely effective in Business Management, Life Coaching and Self-Help areas.
What can NLP do for me?
By changing your thought processes with NLP, a person can change any patterns of negative thoughts or behaviour and turn them into more positive reactions to situations. NLP can be used for many different aspects of life, such as dealing with stressful situations, quitting smoking, improving business sales, and improving relationships at work and home. There are many different benefits to be had, and most situations can be explored using NLP techniques. All that you need to do is be committed to improving yourself or your focus in order to achieve their goals and live the life that they wish to.
What does an NLP session involve?
An initial NLP session will be used to get an insight into you, the client via a consultation and a brief questionnaire (that allows me to see which angle you approach life from), your lifestyle at present and what you wish to achieve. Then the remainder of the first session and subsequent sessions will be tailored to you as an individual. NLP does not have to be long term if you do not need it to be so. People can have a number of sessions or just two or three in the short term if they wish – and can always have booster sessions as and when they feel they need to.
An NLP session can incorporate many things, from looking at body language (both yours and others) to being able to get yourself onto another person’s wavelength, to knowing how to instantly snap into focus to boost concentration, or to improve confidence – as well as many other things. There is no hard and fast rule as to how these things are achieved as each person is different, so each session is tailored to YOU.
NLP sessions can also be tailored for groups, particularly if there is a common goal in mind, such as increasing business sales, or improving customer service. If you wish to improve your business, or help your sales team to be geared toward improved customer service, then NLP is a great way to help boost their confidence and increase their sales abilities. If your customer service is improved then your clients will always think of you first upon requiring an item, thus increasing your sales.
